Abbie
Dental Assistant
As a dental assistant, I appreciate having positive interactions with patients, helping to reduce their anxiety so they have better dental experiences. Having been with Plaza Ridge Dental since 2012, I’ve had time to really get to know our patients and many have become my friends. I look forward to their visits as a time to catch up on their latest news.
I bring patients into the clinic, make sure they’re comfortable in the chair, and prepare them for their appointment. Remaining chairside, I assist the doctor while supporting our patient and when we’re finished, I check to make sure our patient is happy with the visit and answer any questions they might have. Additionally, I handle setting up and breaking down operatories, instrument sterilization, lab work, perform polishing, take X-rays, and order supplies.
Outside the office, much of my time is spent with friends and my family. Trevor, my husband, and Hoyt and Drake, my sons, and I all enjoy camping, hunting, and the outdoors.

It is a joy to work side-by-side with the doctors and to give patients the best experience so they feel comfortable coming into the office. I was welcomed to Plaza Ridge Dental in 2021, having started in the field in 2014, and am enjoying getting to know our patient family.
In addition to assisting the doctors with various procedures, while attentive to our patients’ comfort, I take X-rays and impressions, and polish teeth. I also handle lab work and infection control. My most important responsibility, and what I love best, is maintaining relationships with our patients, so they know we care about them.
Much of my free time is spent with my wonderful husband, Jace, and our two fur babies, Gypsy and Tanzie, who keep us busy. We enjoy renovating houses, camping, watching football, attending concerts, playing softball and volleyball, and being with friends and family.

Dental Assistant
Nothing is better than making people’s dental experiences enjoyable and seeing pleased smiles at the end of a visit. I’ve worked in the field since 2007 and found my professional home and family at Plaza Ridge Dental in 2019.
Much of my day is spent in our clinic and operatories, where I provide chairside assistance to the doctors. While I’m helping the doctor, my focus is always on our patients and ensuring they are comfortable during the procedure. I also handle other duties around the office, supporting and helping my coworkers so we’re able to provide the best care and experience to our patients.
Family keeps me on-the-go when I’m not at work. My husband Eric and I have two sons, Kason and Rilyn, along with two dogs, Molly and Peaches. I love my time with family and friends and especially enjoy activities with my kids.

Office Manager/Front Desk
It has been a pleasure to build real, long-lasting friendships with so many of our patients. Those connections, which started when I joined Plaza Ridge Dental in 1998, mean the world to me. Over the years our patient family has grown and I love being part of so many lives.
Working at our front desk, I answer the phones, schedule appointments, and greet everyone when they arrive. I also work closely with patients and families on billing, insurance, accounts receivable, and collections matters, and handle our staff credentialing.
My life outside of the office is busy, too. Jim, my husband of nearly 40 years, and I have two adult children, Ashlea and her husband Dan and Justin and his wife Whitney. We also have three granddaughters and one grandson, and I love spending time with all of them. I also have three dogs, plus one “forever” foster dog, who keep me entertained. I enjoy time with family and my grandchildren’s activities, fostering and being active in dog rescue, car racing, traveling, and trips to the casino.

Scheduling Coordinator
My daily interaction with patients is enjoyable. It’s fun to hear what’s been going on in their life and with their family since we last saw them and to share in all that is important to them. I joined Plaza Ridge Dental in 2018 and was immediately made to feel at home. That same experience happens for our patients, too.
I work with patients to schedule their appointments, finding times that fit with their busy lives. I also track and order supplies and assist my teammates in keeping us organized and so we provide a stress-free experience for patients.
Most of my free time is spent with my husband Jeremy and three children, Sadie, Takeo and Annika. I love to watch my kids in all their activities and support their many interests.

One of the best things about being a dental assistant at Plaza Ridge Dental is getting to know our wonderful patients. I appreciate the diversity of the people we see and how everyone at our office works to care for their individual needs and expectations. I started in the dental field in 1996 and joined this wonderful practice in 2017.
Working in the clinic, I assist the doctors in various procedures, including fillings, crowns, root canals, and surgeries. I also work closely with the other clinical staff to maintain a sterile environment. My focus, and theirs, is always on patient safety and comfort.
Family is a big part of my life outside the office. I am married and have five children, plus a dog. My husband and I enjoy riding our motorcycles and traveling and, with four of our children grown, we like getting everyone together when we can.

Registered Dental Hygienist
As a hygienist, I strive to create a trusting relationship with my patients. This allows me to help each person succeed with their dental needs and goals. I started in the dental field in 2011 and was welcomed to Plaza Ridge Dental in 2021. We have a friendly and positive office, where our patients are cared for like family.
I provide quality, personalized care that addresses each patient’s oral and dental health needs. In addition to oral health screenings, I take radiographs, perform gentle cleanings, and offer individualized oral hygiene instructions.
My husband Justin and I recently returned to the Pawnee City area, with our three dogs and our baby boy (come December 2021). We are excited to be on this journey close to family and friends and to once again be enjoying small-town communities. We look forward to becoming more involved as our little one grows older. Until then, we enjoy the space and fresh air on our acreage, hunting, fishing, cooking, working on home projects, and staying active. Justin and I like staying active and eating healthy and are excited to take up more hobbies – if possible – as soon-to-be parents.

Being able to build meaningful relationships with my patients is rewarding. The stronger our connection, the better I can help each develop and maintain optimal oral health and a great smile. I’ve been a hygienist at Plaza Ridge Dental since 2011, having started in the field in 2008, and am glad to be part of a fun, talented, and caring practice.
I provide a range of preventive dental hygiene care and educate each patient about their unique oral health concerns. By teaching people how to keep their oral cavity clean and healthy, I help them enjoy healthier and happier lives.
Family keeps me busy outside of work hours. My husband Justin and I have two boys, Riley and Graham, who have many interests. I enjoy time with them, as well as being outside, gardening, cooking, reading, and being physically active.

Registered Dental Hygienist
It’s rewarding to have the time to build relationships with my patients to make sure they feel comfortable and trust me. That’s important as it allows me to help bring people back to oral health and teach them how to care for their mouth. I joined Plaza Ridge Dental in 2005, bringing with me 11 years of experience in the field, and am glad be part of such a positive, giving team.
My day is spent providing oral care to patients through examination, teeth cleaning, and preventive dental services.
Outside of work, my husband and I thoroughly enjoy our two children and following all their activities. We also enjoy spending time with our family, friends, and our dog, KC.
